In my family, we take pecan pie seriously! My mom quit a lucrative career as a realtor, to perfect her ***secret*** pecan pie recipe. That dedication paid off and earned her a National Pie championship title, in 2014. She started her gourmet pie company and the rest is sweet history. Her company, Farrist of Them All, is already sold out online for the rest of 2017. Urban Farmhouse will carry her product in our OKC store during Thanksgiving and Christmas, for the lucky few that get one. My version is a little less labor intensive with the help of a store-bought pie crust. It cuts down on time but not on flavor.
